Georgia Gwinnett College Baseball: Attacking the Bases (47 min)
National champion and award-winning coach Jeremy Sheetinger has guided the Georgia Gwinnett College baseball program to incredible heights.
Sheetinger guided the Grizzlies to the 2021 NAIA World Series title, marking the program's first national championship. He was named the Skip Bertman National Coach of the Year from the Collegiate Baseball Foundation. He is the first NAIA coach to earn the prestigious award since it was founded in 2013.
Under Sheetinger the Grizzlies have led the country in total offense two of the last three seasons (2021-2023) and tops in the NAIA in stolen bases each of the last three years (2021-2023).
Watch as Coach Jeremy Sheetinger discusses and shows clips of baserunning over the whole diamond. He lays out a grid for the baserunners so they can identify the steps on leads and jumps. The starting point for the baserunner is at 15ft and working up to 21ft which is a safe position for stealing 3rd base. Coach explains in detail the two types of leads, 0-1 outs and 2 out leads and the baserunner's responsibilities for each.
